Veo Represented at the Giro d'Italia, Tour of California, Dirty Kanza and Ironman Santa Rosa

The roster of Veo athletes has been busy this past month. Sam Brand, Edwin Avila, and the Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank squad were all in California for the Amgen Tour of California. We had a chance to watch most of the stages. It was awesome catching up with these cyclists and great ambassadors for the sport, their personal causes, and of course, Veo.

Tom Bohli, of Team UAE, just finished up his first Grand Tour, The Giro d'Italia. We loved getting up each morning and tuning in to the grueling 3 weeks of racing these incredible athletes endured. Tom had some impressive days out on the Italian roads, both in support of his team which held the Maglia Rosa for several days, and in the Individual Time Trials (ITT). No rest for the dedicated, as Tom now heads to the GP Lugano which begins June 9.

Sam Brand went straight from California to the Tour of Estonia where he grabbed King of the Mountain honors on the first stage and finished 2nd overall in the mountains classification after the three day event.

After the Tour of California, Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank sent teams to several races around the world. This past weekend they experienced great success: Kendall Ryan (USA) won the Armed Forces Cycling Classic’s Crystal Cup; Lauren Stephens (USA) scored a gravel victory at the Dirty Kanza 100; and Emily Newsom claimed a top 10 finish at the LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour.

In the world of triathlon, Matt Fitzgerald and Meghan Taff each placed 7th in their respective age groups at the Santa Rosa Ironman.
