Veo Athletes on the Podium, Spring Classics and an Ironman Champion

It's been an incredible few weeks of results for our Veo athletes. We're very proud and honored to be sharing in the success these athletes have had early in the cycling and triathlon seasons.

Tom Bohli of Team UAE raced several of the one day classics in the early season, including Paris-Roubaix. He recently finished 3rd in the Prologue at the Tour de Romandie and was just announced as a member of the team heading to the Giro d'Italia which begins next week.

Sam Brand raced the famed Milano-Sanremo earlier in the season for Team Novo Nordisk. He's headed to California next week for the Tour of California. We're excited to catch up with him and the women of the Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank squad.

Speaking of Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank. They've had a spectacular start to the year. Brodie Chapman just won the Overall at Tour of the Gila in New Mexico, with 2 stage victories over the 5 day event. Shannon Malseed placed second at the Joe Martin Stage Race in April. The team was also in Europe for the Spring Classics. They raced against the best in the world at Strade Bianche, Gent-Wevelgem, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, La Flèche Wallonne (top 10 finish), Amstel Gold (top 10 finish), among others. We're excited to see them again in California.

"Smiling" Edwin Ávila of Israel Cycling Academy has had an eventful start to the year as well. He's raced several stage events including — Colombia, Tour du Rwanda, Giro di Sicilia, Vuelta Asturias Julio Alvarez Mendo, with an overall victory at GP Beiras e Serra da Estrela. Edwin will be in California next week as well.

In the triathlon world, Jana Richtrova exceeded aspirations at the IRONMAN North American Championship in Texas. She hoped for an age group win and ended up with the overall amateur women's title. She had a blistering 4:44:48 on the bike and followed that up with a sub 3:30 marathon. Big congrats to Jana for putting in the hard work and never giving up on her dreams.
